Department's Alumni Association (CITYUCOMAA) Founded

COM's Alumni Association, City University of Hong Kong Department of Media and Communication Alumni Association (CITYUCOMAA), has accomplished its registration procedure and is now formally established.

Seven alumni from the department, including Mr. SUN Haosen (2010 MACNM), Mr. ZHU Jiang (2010 MACNM), Ms. HE Juan (2009 MACNM), Ms. DING Hanying (2012 MACNM), Mr. LI Henghui (2013 MACNM), Mr. QIU Boyu (2011 MACNM) and Mr. Calvin CHENG (2020 BATVB), were appointed as the inaugural executive team members.

The executive team released its official charter during the 2022 MA student orientation on Aug 27. Mr. SUN Haosen, the executive team convener, gave an introduction on behalf of the association and presented its mission, vision, and organizational structure.

"COM had cultivated many outstanding talents, and some have strong reputations and influence in the industry. We hope that the Alumni Association could connect alumni and the department, and further expand the alumni network to cater to the growing influence of the department," Mr. Sun said. He warmly welcomed all the alumni worldwide to join the association and contribute to the growth of COM.

According to the association charter, the inaugural executive team members will be in charge of the operations, administration, PR, and financial affairs. They have been planning some exciting events such as outstanding alumni sharing sessions, keynote lectures, etc.
