Sponsorship & Support
The Association's work and activities rely on the support of alumni. Beyond membership and event income, the Association welcomes donations in support of alumni activities, the Mentor Programme and the development of the Department.
Ways to Give
1
1. Donate directly to the Association
Any amount, all year round. Donors may designate a purpose (for example the Mentor Programme, scholarships, or event costs), or give undesignated support to be allocated by the Management Team as needed.
- Email cityucomaa@gmail.com stating your intention to donate
- The Management Team replies to confirm the arrangements
- The Association issues an official receipt

2. Fundraising at events
Our alumni dinners and Chinese New Year gatherings include fundraising segments (lucky draws, auctions, pledges), with proceeds going to the Association. Companies and alumni may also sponsor venues, prizes or souvenirs.
- Discuss the sponsorship format with the Management Team in advance
- The Association acknowledges sponsors publicly at the event
- Income and expenditure are reported after the event

3. Special fundraising arrangements
For specific projects (such as scholarships, the Mentor Programme or Department facilities), a dedicated fundraising exercise can be set up, including named funds or designated beneficiaries if the donor wishes.
- The Association and the donor agree the purpose together
- Donors receive regular progress reports
- Acknowledgement on this website as appropriate
